This was brought up at my office a few weeks ago. Apparently, there is a subculture on youtube of fans watching haulers. Young girls who put on a video of what they bought from the mall. Includes clothing, makeup, trendy wear, etc. Apparently this is becoming bigger than your normal youtube video, as I share in this video.

Thanks for introducing “hauling”. This is the ultimate word-of-mouth marketing. These girls are essentially giving their point of view on a wide range of products that they have purchased. If others like what they see and hear, they go and buy the same. This is powerful content making particularly for the Gen Y females.

Thanks for your comment Danielle. I found it really interesting myself to watch a few of these videos. I was amazed how penetrating their content was along with their loyal fan base.
