A Sit down with Blogger and Creator of New Media Brief

ramonnuezjrI had the pleasure of having a cup of coffee with Ramon Nuez Jr the other day.  And as you already know, I am a big believer in the internet being serendipitous.  Ramon was scheduled to come to one of my events after hearing about it online.  He wasn’t able to make it as it turned out, however, after seeing some of his work online, and learning about his nomination of best latino blogger in New York, I thought it would be great to have a conversation over coffee.

It’s not everyday that you physically meet someone who is as immersed in social media than you are.  I would say a handful over the last year that I can recall.  I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with someone who knew where I was coming from, and had an understanding of the value that social media is evolving into.   In less than a year, Ramon was able to build up a blog, New Media Brief, encompassing how new media is impacting our social interactions.  If that weren’t enough, his wife, Jessie Nuez, who assists as an editor for the blog, also has her own, “Hecho Para Mama“, her take on motherhood.

Thanks Ramon for sharing coffee with me and I look forward to meeting up with you in the future.  Check out his blog and keep it on your radar, as he continues to provide good information on what is cutting edge in new media.
