Is Facebook Lite really another Twitter?

Another headline in the battle of the social networks!   Alright, the official reason for facebook lite is that it is a simplified version of facebook.  Easier to use, scaled back layout, and speedier loading, especially for users in countries where speed is an issue.    Ironically enough, it is twitter that attracts those very users with its simple format and ease.

It seems that every few weeks we hear about how how facebook, or another social network is modifying it’s status feature to conform with the out of control wildfire twitter has become.   And although, statuses on facebook pretty much resemble the look, feel of a twitter,  growth has not slowed down.

If you are already deep into facebook, no need for the lite version as you will be frustrated looking for icons you know like the back of your hand.   If you have a friend who is not on, or is having trouble using the full version, you might want to give this a look.  will be interesting to see what other versions or what facebook will look like in a year from now.
