Facebook connections becoming part of our lives

Before I could even think about posting on their Facebook pages, dozens of posters beat me to the punch. I then realized how significant this was for me. Posting my first social network wedding congrats post. I had just attended the wedding just this last Friday night (congrats Mike and Mary).

I also reflected on how different we interact with each other since my own wedding, which was over 12 years ago. Back then, I don’t even think I texted at the time. The only way to congratulate me outside of seeing me in person was an email to my yahoo account, a phone call, a voice mail, and if you really wanted to go old school, a card in the mail.

Now I have a myriad of tools at my disposal. Besides Facebook, I could text, tweet, leave a message on a vm which can transcribe into a email (like Jott.com), among other tools.

If I had really been on my game, I would have posted as soon as the Groom kissed the Bride, maybe next time. :)
